Start a video chat →A cookie is a small file your browser stores, letting websites tell one session from another. Shagle uses them for exactly three things: keeping your guest session coherent during matching, remembering minor preferences, and tallying visits in anonymous totals.
The strictly necessary kind carries your session through matching — switch those off and matching simply cannot work. Preference cookies spare you from answering the same settings twice. Analytics cookies tally traffic in anonymous totals: they reveal which pages deserve work, never who visited.
Coin checkout is handled by an outside payment processor, and that processor may set its own cookies to run payments and fight fraud. Those cookies are the processor’s business, under its own policy — and the card details they guard never reach Shagle.
Any modern browser can refuse or delete cookies — the controls live in its privacy settings. Switch off the strictly necessary cookies and matching stops entirely; say no to the rest and you only lose a handful of remembered preferences. Wiping cookies also wipes your guest session — sometimes that is exactly what you wanted.
